Professional experience

I have had a private practice since 1999 where I have worked with individuals, couples, adolescents, and families of different backgrounds, ages and therapeutic goals.

I am a cofounder and supervisor of The Living Arts Counseling center and served as the associate director for 4 years.

I was a treatment counselor for adolescents at New Connections in Concord, California. There I worked with adolescents and their families around substance abuse issues. I led a relapse prevention group which I turned into a drama therapy group and created many interventions that continue to be used today. I made presentations at schools, churches, synagogues, and professional conferences on adolescent drug and alcohol use. I created a performance with teens that performed in various venues about issues concerning adolescents and I continue to train interns at New Connections on the use of drama therapy.

I have worked with other populations in my career including a group of homeless parolees at Milestones in SF, the elderly at The Center for Independent Living in Oak., and Mental health clients from Baker Places Assisted Independent Living Program in SF.

I am an MFT supervisor and I teach a class on Drama therapy at JFK University. I have also presented at various Drama Therapy conferences and I continued to train on the use of drama therapy throughout the bay area.
